David was a man that lived aeons ahead of his generation and was able to pick the thoughts of God the Father because he lived after His heart (1 Sam 13:14).

 1 Samuel 13:14 (KJV)

But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the Lord hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the Lord hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the Lord commanded thee.

He wrote many delightful Psalms that were autobiographical, messianic, and penitential in nature. Some of David’s Psalms were classical, and their relevance went beyond his days into the end times because of their prophetic nature and application.

The second chapter of the book of Psalm is one of such prophetic chapters in the Bible that reveals the outworking of God’s end-time prophetic plans in and on the nations of the earth. A careful look at Psalm 2, reveals that the chapter has the clearest and the most graphic prophetic verses that show us the current situation in different human societies and the nations of the earth.

By the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the chapter clearly reveals different drama scenes playing out in God’s heavenly theatre. It is a depiction of four different, but related drama scenes played by four different characters in sequential order namely:

The Kings of the earth and rulers

God the Father

The Lord Jesus Christ

King David.

Each character had three verses to say their piece and act out their plot on the stage.
Psalms 2:1-3 (KJV)

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?  The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord , and against his anointed, saying,  Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

Act 1, Scene 1 (the kings of the earth and rulers)

The kings of the earth (world leaders), namely presidents, kings of nations, prime ministers etc, over 200 in number, and rulers (captains of industries, business leaders etc), come on the stage and points their hands to God in defiant rage, swearing together in active unity to completely drive out Jesus’ leadership and the influence of His word (the Bible) out of the culture. They have set their hearts to do this by breaking His bands, as God’s word is seen as bondage which they believe is the major hindrance to man in reaching his full potential.

Hence, the kings of the earth, and the rulers want to break man free from the boundaries of God’s authority and government, so that man can explore outside of God’s government his deepest passions in sexuality, entertainment, sports, education, politics etc. This is the first time in human history that world rulers and captains of industries and business leaders are all coming into agreement and in a unanimous front to entrench satanism, occultism and antichrist laws and principles in the nations of the earth, particularly in the corridors of power, in order to establish an antichrist order and system. We see a prevalence of these across the nations of the earth.

 Psalms 2:4-6 (KJV)

He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.  Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.  Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

Act 2, Scene 2 (God the Father)

After the kings of the earth and rulers leave the stage God the Father comes on siting in the heavens and deriding them by laughing at them. He makes a solemn promise to exalt His son Jesus as King and Lord over the nations of the earth, and invariably frustrate their plans (Acts 9:5).

Acts 9:5 (KJV)

And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

In response to the evil plans of the kings, God in His omnipotence and sovereignty sets His son as the supreme Monarch over the nations of the earth (Ps 22:28).

Psalms 22:28 (KJV)

For the kingdom is the Lord’s : and he is the governor among the nations.

 Psalms 2:7-9 (KJV)

I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.  Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.  Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.

Act 3, Scene 3 (God the Son; Jesus)

Then Jesus comes on the stage and reiterates what His Father declared about Him as Son and Heir over the nations of the earth. But in sharp contrast to the counsel and defiant rage of the kings of the earth, it is interesting to note that Jesus does not reveal Himself as a warrior but an “intercessor”, pointing out to the end time church that only through intercession can the church release His power and align with His will to thwart the satanic counsel of the kings of the earth and rulers. Hence Jesus’ desire in the end time is to counteract the evil machinations of the world leaders by working in collaboration with His body – the Church – through heart alignment with His will in prayer and intercession (Matt 6:10; Rev 22:17).

Matthew 6:10 KJV

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Revelation 22:17 KJV

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Note: The church will only be able to thwart the evil plans of the enemy when she prays in agreement with the Spirit of the great intercessor, Christ.
Psalms 2:10-12 KJV

Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.  Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.  Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Act 4, Scene 4 (King David)

The stage drama closes with king David coming on and admonishing the kings of the earth and rulers to jettison their folly and submit to Jesus’ leadership, by serving  Him in sincerity, and kissing Him in obeisance and adoration as they govern their respective nations. The consequence of not submitting to Him as King in reverential fear, will be that they will face His wrath and fury as the Lord and Judge, as He breaks them to shivers like a potter’s vessel.

This panoramic view in Psalm 2 is playing out right before our eyes in this evil culture, as we see world leaders enacting Antichrist laws and doing everything possible to stifle Christianity and the reign of the Judaeo-Christian God in the nations of the earth.

May God gives us discernment to walk in perfect heart alignment with the great intercessor, even the man Jesus Christ.

God bless you!!!
