Addiction Straight Talk (Teens & Youths)
The good news in all of these is that the Bible assures us that there's victory and deliverance in Christ for all those who cry out to God for help (1 Corinthians 15:57, Joel 2:32).

Living as a teenager or youth in the contemporary culture/present time is far more challenging than what it used to be before the advent of the internet. When I was growing up as a teenager, there was no internet and by implication, any information I wanted, had to be obtained from the school or public library.
However, the dynamic of being a teenager or youth has evolved in no small way due to the internet. Access to information has been made easier and faster by the cyberspace. Information on any subject area is now available with a click on a smart phone device or computer. You can open any item on the World Wide Web with single-click from comfort of your bedroom, even from your restrooms, making the cyberspace a permanent home for the youth irrespective of their physical location.

The internet presents huge prospects and opportunities for youths to empower themselves through access to information, build their social and economic networks, and promote their business, especially through various social media platforms.
They are also able to connect with friends and family, as well as make new friends and build a support system. However, the internet, like any good thing, can be misused. Misuse of the internet has made millions of youth worldwide to be caught in a lot of quagmires on the worldwide web.
It is worth noting that the introduction of the world wide web has come with lots of entanglements, and distractions, bringing more and more youths under the stranglehold of the evil one through addictions, and enslaving them by the things which seem good but often turn out to be evil.

The devil comes daily to the ever-curious minds of millions of youth all over the world – like he did to Eve in the garden of Eden – enticing them with all forms of information from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Unfortunately, many do not realise that “sin deceives before it slays and kills”. Romans 7:11.
Romans 7:11 KJV
For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.

Like Jonah in the belly of the fish, crying out to God in Jonah 2:5, that weeds were wrapped around his soul (mind, will and emotions), weeds which are symbolic of things that though are unwanted but struggles for space in your life and drains you of divine life and breath till you choke and die.
Jonah 2:5 KJV
The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.
In humility and sincerity of heart, God enjoins you to come if you have been entangled by any form of addictions. Cry out like Jonah did in the abovementioned bible passage, and like the apostle, Paul did in Romans 7:24, “O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?” And the merciful Lord through the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Liberty, will come to the rescue and deliver you.
The good news in all of these is that the Bible assures us that there’s victory and deliverance in Christ for all those who cry out to God for help (1 Corinthians 15:57, Joel 2:32).
1 Corinthians 15:57 KJV
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Joel 2:32 KJV
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call.
I welcome you to this page and I trust that you will find the materials useful and engaging as you encounter the Holy Spirit. I trust Him to set you at liberty and into the glorious freedom of the children of God.
